The lecture consists of 2 parts. The first part
ends on December 19, 2001. The second part starts
on January 7, 2002. To get credit for the course,
you must satisfy the requirements of both parts.
The overall grade is determined by the grades of
the two parts, each counting 50%.
Requirements, first part
- Pass a written exam, which will take place on
December 19, 2001, 8am-11am.
- To be admitted to the exam, your total score in
Assignments 1-6 must be at least 260 points (out
of 600 possible points).
- The grade is determined by the exam only.
- If you fail the exam but score above a
threshold, you are given a second chance in form
of an oral exam.
Exam, first part
The exam will take place on Wednesday, December 19,
2001, 8am-11am. We will start at 8.00 sharp, in HS
002, Building 45. The exam will be strictly "closed
book" (ohne Unterlagen). That is, you must not use any
notes and books, and you may only use the paper that we
provide.
Requirements, second part
- Pass a written exam, which will take place on
February 20, 2002, 8am-11am.
- To be admitted to the exam, your total score in
Assignments 8-12 must be at least 40% out of
the possible points.
- The grade is determined by the exam only.
- If you fail the exam but score above a
threshold, you are given a second chance in form
of an oral exam.
Exam, second part
The exam will take place on Wednesday, February 20,
2002, 8am-11am.
We will start at 8.00 sharp, in HS 002, Building 45.
You are allowed to use books and course notes
but we do not allow any electronic devices (no laptops, PDAs,
mobile phones, ...).
